NK color edited 1Nehemiah was a cupbearer to King Artaxerxes. Before he became a leader of Israel, he was a servant. N.K. develops servant-leadership in 1st-4th grades. It is a replica of Leaders In Training (L.I.T.) for preteens. N.K.s have daily devotional, brief Bible studies that take about five to fifteen minutes a day, six days a week. This is also a tool by which parents can disciple their child at home and help them develop their daily walk with Christ. The devotional includes Parent Talk on Day 6 of each week that helps parents know what their child is learning and gives them guidance for bringing application in their home and neighborhood. Through the Disciple (small) Group materials, the leader reinforces what the children learn at home, helps the children discover their spiritual gifts, and engages them in serving and ministering within their group.

L.I.T. started in 2002 for 5th-6th graders. It was so successful that we decided to create a similar resource called Nehemiah Kids in 2006 for 1st-4th
