Celebrating 19 Years of Ministry

Website Banner

In the summer of 2002, God gave birth to a vision called L.I.T. (Leaders In Training) at Wedgwood Baptist Church in Fort Worth, Texas. This vision was to empower children for ministry and missions, to reach themClint May with the Good News of Christ, and to disciple and equip them for ministry and missions. What started in Fort Worth, Texas, in the summer of 2002 has rapidly expanded around the world in these last six months. Many of you have been on this journey with us. One thing we can all say is that we have witnessed firsthand a movement of God in the lives of children and students alike. This brochure celebrates 19 years of L.I.T. Please celebrate with me what the Lord has done through the ministry. As you read below, you will read about the history of L.I.T. as well as where the ministry is today around the world. Many of you have taken part in making this happen, and we are forever grateful for your prayers and financial partnership. I pray that you will be blessed as you read our story and how the Lord is working today.  We would love for you to join our prayer team, please email me at This email address is being protected from spambots. Picture3Mission Trip Report 2004-2021

"I saw fear and walls breaking down among our kids and them opening up to allow the Holy Spirit to lead them and work through them. I am deeply thankful for the truths I have learned and witnessed first-hand of the full power of the Holy Spirit at work in the lives of every believer, no matter their age.”

—Jamie Brown, Springfield, Missouri

L.I.T. Ministries International TrainingPicture4

In 2015, we were praying for a training model to be used around the world. We spent six months developing the new training format. We kicked off our first training in January 2016. We have now trained more than 2,000 leaders worldwide to date. The “Empowering The Next Generation” handbook has been translated into thirteen languages and is being used to train leaders internationally.

Picture7We Have Never Heard Teaching Like This

“The pastors are very glad to receive wonderful teaching from you. All of them said that this was our first time to hear such teaching. Many agreed with you that we ignore the children in the ministry in our churches. Thank you for opening their eyes to see how valuable they are and how useful they can be. We can reach them with the Gospel, make disciples, and equip them to do the same in the churches.” —Santosh Bardhan, India

WE GAVE L.I.T. AWAY!Picture8

In April 2021, the Lord made it very clear that we would no longer charge for our training or discipleship materials. This was a huge step of faith for the ministry; however, we knew that the Lord was in it. Since the day we said, “Yes,” the Lord has opened so many doors it is hard to count. He has positioned L.I.T. to impact hundreds of thousands of children worldwide.

We do not charge for our resources; however, we invite churches and individuals to pay it forward for those who cannot afford training or printed materials. From the day we took this step of faith, the Lord has provided in supernatural ways. When we gave it away, He has given back more than we could ever imagine. He has faithfully taken care of the ministry in so many ways.

L.I.T. Shaped My Spiritual Life Tremendously —Ketnarly EstimonPicture9

As a young girl, L.I.T. shaped my spiritual life tremendously! The key components were identity, leadership, and discipleship. I was taught my identity as a daughter and co-heir of Christ, and this life-transforming truth has made me the woman I am today. Through discipleship, I learned what it meant to live a life of integrity while following Jesus. By way of serving, I learned how to lead on my knees while giving God all the glory. This has not been lost on me in my adult life. I have gone on to serve in college ministry, mission trips, and even in my job as a nurse. It is no small thing to give the gift of the gospel to a child and tell them to share it with the world. I am forever grateful that L.I.T. gave me such a gift. May God be glorified!!
