Tim Setliff is founder and director of A New Kind of Dad ministries. He is a father, grandfather and a great-grandfather. As a senior, Tim didn’t want to live out his days in retirement, so he asked God to allow him to finish strong. Soon, doors opened for him to go to the mission field. For the last 11 years, Tim has ministered in La Ceiba, Honduras.

His ministry was to local schools until Covid hit. With that door closed, God open doors for him to assist local church Sunday Schools, by providing teacher training, and creating lessons for 23 local churches.

Five years ago, Tim married Maria Lobo. Maria was born in Honduras and has been a public-school teacher for the last 20 years. She is known throughout La Ceiba for her work in the community. Together, they work to empower local churches in their outreach to the young people.

Tim is a new member of the L.I.T. team and is regional director in Honduras. He has a Bachelor of Science in Pastoral Counseling from Liberty University. Maria has an Elementary education degree from Universidad Pedagógica Nacional.
