Do You Have Everything You Need to be Effective in Your Preteen Ministry

I am in several kidmin groups on Facebook. I have seen many questions like the following:AdobeStock 17116331 a

“What leadership program are you using for your preteens?”

“Anyone know where I can find a resource that teaches preteens how to share their faith?”

“I am looking for a preteen spiritual gift test. Do you know where I can find one?”

“I am looking for ways to help preteens use their spiritual gifts in ministry in my church. Do you have any ideas?”

I am thinking about taking my preteens on a mission trip. What resources do you guys use?”

“My small group leaders are struggling. They really don’t know how to disciple children in their small groups. Do you have any suggestions for a resource that assists them in the process?”

“My preteens are facing a lot of challenges. How can I help their parents walk alongside them during these difficult times as they transition into the student ministry?”

“I am looking for ministry training ideas for preteens so that I can train them to lead out in children’s worship at my church. Do any of you know a good resource for this?”

We are so glad you asked! Every question asked above is answered in one resource: L.I.T. (Leaders In Training) for preteens. For the past 15 years, L.I.T. has answered these questions with an all-inclusive resource that has transformed the lives of preteens, parents, and their church families in multiple states in the U.S. as well as internationally.

L.I.T. takes a biblical look at the significance of children in your church who have accepted Christ as Lord and Savior. This resource will train you how to disciple and equip them for ministry and missions. The L.I.T. curriculum shows you how to effectively partner with parents and give them tools to disciple their child at home. These resources are reinforced at your church by a trained leader/discipler who will walk alongside the preteen (like Paul with Timothy) to disciple them, help them find their gifts, and give them opportunities to use those gifts in a small group setting as well as in the body of Christ.

L.I.T. resources take it a step further by empowering children and preteens for missions. Included in the curriculum are training tools to prepare them for missions, for sharing the Gospel in an effective outreach to your community, as well as mission trips away from your city or country.

In most churches, children sit and listen while someone teaches and ministers to them. Through L.I.T., children begin to recognize their significance in the body of Christ and are taken on a journey that develops their personal walk with Christ through the spiritual disciplines of prayer, Bible study, Lordship, evangelism, and gifts and ministry, which results in a life of obedience to Christ. What we have learned is that when preteens learn these disciplines and put them into practice daily, significant transformation occurs in their lives. As they walk with the Lord daily, they discover their purpose and identity in the body of Christ.
