DECEMBER 2022 NEWSLETTER, CELEBRATING THE SAVIOR

God’s Amazing GraceFirst LIT Group

by Dr. Clint May

The last two years have had many challenges. The year 2020 started out with many questions if we would still be here today. As that cloud lifted, I saw hope, not in myself but in the Lord. No matter what happened, He was in control of my life and L.I.T., not me.

In October 2021, my wife, Vicki, was diagnosed with breast cancer. It was as if another dark cloud formed to block our view of God’s grace again. We walked through this trial together. Today, Vicki is cancer free. Her last doctor visit showed she is all clear—praise the Lord! Even though it was a very dark beginning of the year, it has become brighter and brighter each new day.

This morning, I was reflecting on April 12, 2014. During an evening service at Wedgwood Baptist Church, the pastor asked everyone to read Psalm 27:4 together: “One thing I have desired of the Lord, That will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord All the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the Lord, And to inquire in His temple.”

Pastor Al encouraged us to read this passage of Scripture and write down the first thing that came to mind. Without much thought, I wrote out, “Do you trust Me with your life? Do you believe that I can do a mighty work? Are you willing to take a step and fully submit to My authority?” It became clear in my mind. In His still small voice, the Lord spoke to me. I was not sure at first what it was He was saying.

Within the next two months, the Lord called me to step down from my church staff position. It did not make sense. The money was not there, but we knew it was His will. Not to do so would be disobedience to His calling. Stepping out in faith made more sense as the days moved forward.

Fast forward to today, nearly eight years later. The Lord has blessed the ministry beyond what I could have ever imagined. He is faithful to His promise. It is my prayer to always be willing to step out of the boat and trust Him. Through the ups and downs, He is faithful.

We are excited about 2023, we are looking to expand the I-GO Mission Trips to four states (Colorado, North Carolina, Texas, and Oklahoma) next summer. We are also enlarging our training to multiple locations in the United States. In 2023, our L.I.T. state representatives will be leading those mission trips. Many doors continue to open worldwide. We are believing that the Lord will provide to expand His work internationally. We pray that the Lord will continue to grow the work worldwide.

CELEBRATING THE SAVIOR!

Jesus is the reason we exist. It is easy to get busy doing ministry and forget the very one who made it all possible. If not for the manger, there would be no Savior. We praise the Lord for what He has done. It is truly all about Him. We must become less so that He might become greater still. All things belong to Him, and all things are for Him. He makes everything new, and we want to be a part of what He is doing. Praise the Lord! He lives and is seated on high at the right hand of God. He is truly the reason why we celebrate the season of Christmas. God bless you and your family this season. Remember the greatest gift was Christ the Lord our Savior.

ETNG Leadership Training LuncheonsLeadership Luncheon Moore OK

The War Is Raging Against our Kids! It is apparent that the enemy is doing everything in his power to confuse or destroy the spiritual foundations of children. However, God is raising up kids to be missionaries in their schools and communities. We are planning to host multiple luncheons, both in person and online. This training will enable leaders to empower kids to be the Church in public schools. It is our prayer that these events will encourage leaders to seek further training through our conferences.
