It Is Hard to Describe What the Lord Has Done

I wanted to share something with you. Years ago, when the Lord led me to write the Empowering The Next Generation Handbook, I had no idea what He would do with it.

We originally recorded training at Willow Park Baptist Church. We loaded the videos online and made them accessible to anyone. The rest is history.

Some eight years later, the Lord has taken the training worldwide. The handbook has been translated into ten languages. 

The training is different because we helped leaders see biblically that God has a plan and purpose for children in His church today. We trained leaders how to reach children with the Gospel, equip them to minister, and release them as missionaries for Christ.

Soon afterward, I received an email with a photo from a pastor in Ghana. The picture was of a very large crowd of people in a church. I asked him to explain the picture. He said, "I trained 700 children and leaders how to share the Gospel using your materials."

Months later, I received an email from Isaac Mphande. He attached a picture of himself with the L.I.T. Cross drawn out on a chalkboard. I asked him about the picture. He said, "I did an Empowering The Next Generation Conference here in Zambia with 25 leaders.” Isaac has now trained more than 1,700 leaders in six countries in Africa. 

Isaac led a group of 69 L.I.T.s (5 to 14 years old) from his school on a mission trip to Kasupe W. Zambia. They led 84 kids to Christ.

Joel and Heidi Hayslip, missionaries with Go To The Nations, had a vision to reach a million children in Burkina Faso with the Gospel. To do so, they trained hundreds of leaders there. Praise the Lord…they have surpassed their vision!

Heidi attended our ETNG Conference several years ago in North Carolina. The Lord put a fire in her heart to return to Burkina Faso and train their leadership there using our ETNG training. Heidi and her team of leaders have translated the L.I.T. materials into French.

These are just a few of many stories of what the Lord is doing through the ETNG training. My vision was to train leaders, and they in turn would take what they learned and equip others (Eph. 4:11-14).

Children are being reached worldwide with the Gospel. They are being discipled, equipped to minister, and released to share the Good News of Christ.
