We Have Reached a Tipping Point—It’s Time for Change

The other day I was putting together a presentation about L.I.T. As I mapped out where the Lord has taken the ministry, I was deeply humbled by what the Lord has done. From our beginning in the summer of 2002 to today, the Lord has been on the move.

• Children are being reached with the Gospel.
• Parents are being equipped to lead their homes spiritually.
• Children are being discipled and taught how to walk with Christ.
• Children are ministering in their churches and leading out on evangelistic mission trips.

From our first mission trip in 2004, we witnessed God move powerfully in the lives of countless children and preteens while sharing the Gospel (Acts 1:8). More than 4,500 preteens and leaders have now participated in 36 mission trips, leading 1,502 people to Christ.

In 2015 the Lord gave me a vision to develop our Empowering The Next Generation training. It was my prayer that it would be something that could be caught by leaders and they would use it to equip others. We estimate that about 5,000 leaders have been trained worldwide through this tool.

Five years ago, Alex and Diana Aburto led missionaries of Vine and Branches Ministry in Piedras Negras, Mexico, through our training. They now have several generations of students reaching children with the Gospel and discipling them in their ministry. They faithfully mobilize them into their community to reach the lost. Whole families have been transformed by their ministry.

Isaac Mphande went through our online training. He in turn took what he learned and has now equipped more than 1,200 leaders in Africa in seven countries. He has mobilized at least 100 children and students from his school on an evangelistic mission trip.

L.I.T. Ministries has a relatively small staff. I am full-time, and we have two other part-time staff members: my wife Vicki (finance) and Amy McMullin (senior editor). By God’s grace, the ministry has become organic and has grown very rapidly in many places throughout the U.S., Mexico, South America, Africa, and India.

We have reached a tipping point where we have the potential to reach and disciple a million children by 2025. We need the staff to sustain this incredible growth.

Please keep us in your prayers as we trust the Lord by faith. We have a mountain to move. Jesus said, “For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them” (Mark 11:23-24).

We are looking at raising $150,000 this year to add additional staff members to embrace this amazing ministry growth.
